| IntegriCo Composite Railroad Ties Meet and Exceed Independent Industry Testing |
|
PRLog (Press Release) - Apr 03, 2009 - Today IntegriCo Composites, Inc, announced achievement of two important milestones in developing its composite railroad tie division.
First, IntegriCo announced that tests conducted on IntegriCo Composites' ties by the Transportation Technology Center, Inc. (TTCI) in Pueblo, Colorado, the largest and most recognized testing organization in the world for railroad industry products, met and exceeded railroad industry performance requirements. IntegriCo composite railroad ties were subjected to cyclic-load testing with 2 million load cycles or simulation of 1 million train car passes. In addition to other requirements, the company's ties met and exceeded industry performance requirements with respect to load bearing, fatigue, spike work out, lateral tie plate movement, tie compression and rail-head displacement. The ties showed normal and minimal wear and abrasion in the tie plate area with no anomalies. Second, announced today, the Company has successfully completed installations of composite railroad ties in the targeted heavy industrial sector. Most recently, a project in the sector was completed for Dow Chemicals at its petrochemical facility at Freemont, Texas. IntegriCo's CEO, Gershon Yaniv, commented, "We are very pleased with the selection of IntegriCo composite ties by Dow, a world leader in one of the industrial market sectors we are targeting. Dow's installation offers an excellent opportunity to demonstrate the value and performance advantage of IntegriCo composite ties." IntegriCo Composites, Inc. manufactures and markets an industry-leading composite railroad tie engineered using its patented composite technology. The Company also licenses its technology for use in a variety of other high performance engineered product applications. The Company's patented technology is ideal for use in applications requiring heavy loading, exceptionally long life, resistance to caustic environments, reduced vibration, noise abatement, environmentally benign impact, and comparatively superior performance and lower effective cost relative to steel, wood, concrete and other composite products. The Company's website is found at http://www.IntegriCo.com IntegriCo Composites is a manufacturer of composite plastic products made from landfill-bound plastic waste. The Company's initial product is a composite plastic railroad tie, and the technology can be widely applied to a variety of industrial products. |
